Summer goals:

motorcyle license
cop a Prelude

NEW YORK CITY
make this summer the best.

Just some general summer goals. Not everything, but top 5.

I literally didn’t complete any of these summer goals. But I will say this… although I didn’t get my motorcycle license, I at least signed up for the motorcycle safety course. First step, check. I didn’t cop my dream car..but I’ve been saving up massive amounts of money through my own cash flow - (no help from parents), that I even got OPTIONS now. I didn’t get spartan ripped, but I did step out of my realm and became a devoted member at 24 hour fitness. I’m not Trey Songz cut, but there are noticeable changes in my physical features. Arms got bigger, stomach got more toned, maintaining a consistent healthy diet, etc. I didn’t go to New York City, but I at least went on a mothafuckin CRUISE ! New York City can probably be held off till winter time. & last but not least…

I’d be lying if I said this summer was the best, cos in all honesty, it wasn’t. My everyday rituals was pretty much working out, grindin & kickin it with some niggas. Parties here and there, clubbing a little. But doing the same boring & tiring things make you feel the same - bored & tired.

But that’s besides the fact. Despite this summer not living up to my expectations, it was a learning experience. I learned to not have a deep dependency on people & taught myself to hold my own. I learned that solitude doesn’t necessarily have to be a bad thing, it gives you time to reflect upon yourself and gives you a sense of self-actualization. I learned that me & my dad will probably never be on common grounds, but that doesn’t mean I love him any less as a son. I learned who my real pahtnahs in crime are (ha). I learned that, although there’s a famine of communication among the people I cared about, I’ll still always be there for you, as a friend. I learned to not open old wounds. & probably the most important of all, I’ve outgrown the existence of what we use to be. & as weird as this may sound, I’m thankful for the outcome & you coming into my life. I hit rock bottom & went through one of the roughest stages because of you.. BUT, because of you, I gained new perspectives and matured each and every day. So..thank you.
